Gateway to Europe: India, Bangladesh, Nepal

Obtaining a long-term visa for the Czech Republic from India, Bangladesh, or Nepal is not just a matter of “filling out a form and sending it off.” It’s not a game of luck – but a strategy, where seconds matter, format must be precise, and success depends on recognizing the system’s silent requirements that are nowhere written in black and white.

Every month, thousands of people try to get on the applicant list. Only a handful succeed. Often, it’s not those with the strongest motivation who make it, but those who understand the system. And today, we’re going to take a closer look at these crucial differences.

What do you need to know first?

The Czech embassy in Delhi is designated for citizens of India, Bangladesh, and Nepal. Visa applications cannot be submitted at any time – only on **specific days** announced in advance by the embassy.

Registration does not take place through an online form, but via an email sent at a specific time. This system can be an unexpected obstacle for many applicants.

What does this mean in practice?

  • If you send the email too early or too late – you are disqualified.
  • If the email does not have the correct format – it will not be accepted.
  • If you make a mistake with the attachments – you lose your chance.

These are not strict rules – this is the usual reality. And it tends to be unforgiving.

Three key factors for success

  1. Timing

In the day when registration opens, seconds matter. The window is short, and the number of accepted applications is limited. It is common for hundreds of people to send emails at the same time, but only a few dozen of them will be accepted.

  1. Format and content of the application

The embassy expects the email to meet certain formal requirements – including the correct format of attachments, their size, and naming. An error in a single file name or the wrong document format could result in immediate disqualification.

  1. The quality of presenting the purpose of stay

It's not enough to just have the "papers in order." The key is that the purpose of stay must make sense, be properly documented, and inspire trust. An unclear or weak purpose can lead to problems not only during registration but also during the actual visa interview.

Most common mistakes

  • Incorrect or informal application format
  • Incomplete documentation or outdated attachments
  • Missing supporting documents (accommodation, contracts, affidavits…)
  • Relying on unverified advice from "Facebook" or from people without responsibility
